A- A A+

PalekastroIf your wanting a quiet relaxing holiday to Crete then you couldn't go far wrong by picking the sleepy fishing village of Palekastro on the eastern side of Crete.

The small village is set upon some of the most stunning scenery you will ever see on your holidays to Crete, with amazing local wildlife including exotic flowers and butterflies.

The town is only awaking to tourism now and caters well for the in dependent traveler, with modern apartments and studios as well as classical Cretan pensions.

Don’t expect throngs of holiday makers as Palekastro is not advertised for mass tourism and that's how the village is likely to stay.

Kouremenos and Hiona BeachPalekastro-Agathias with its good beaches, has started to attract tourism and slowly a good infrastructure is emerging for the independent traveler and holiday maker. The village of Agathias where Taverna Meltemi is located is 800m far from the beaches of Kouremenos and Hiona.
